Do Canadians have their own big films or do they just watch our movies (USA) at the box office?

I'm curious b/c I was in Montreal and I saw nothing but our movies from a quick glance. And I'm just curious if there are a lot of releases where can I see them (looking for indy horror movies. Vampires)
