I dont know what to think?

hi everyone, i just need a few opinions! me and my partner have been ttc for 7 months now, my period was due on 19th may but it hasnt arrived yet, i havent really had any other symptoms apart from sore but i get that every month, Do you think i should do a test? i dont want to get my hopes up again and then have a neg result? any opinions would be helpful x
