Reason for sudden vision change?

I'm a graduate student and Ive been studying a lot for finals the past week. One day I woke up and realized that everything was really blurry out of my right eye and I couldn't clearly see things that were 5 feet away from me. I wear contacts and have seen the eye doctor within 6 months. I figured it was just a lot of studying. My vision went in and out the past week, better some days and worse on other days. Now that finals are over, I still feel like there is a haze over my right eye and everything is super blurry. I plan on seeing an eye doctor soon, but wanted to see if this has happened to anyone and if its permanent.
