Greencard question?

if a person was supposed to get his greencard in few months here in america, and then he went to syria befor he got it,,,and then the greencard came to him by postmail..and he is in syria...so we sent it to him by a company like fedex or american express for him in syria so he gets it there and then come back here...is there anything wrong with that..??
