Is my boyfriend desperate for something?

Me and my boyfriend were out driving the other day, we bumped into a girl he new he pointed to her and said she's hiding from me cause shes shame who she's pregnant for. He then went on to say that he tried talking to her a few times and she wasn't interested. I was a little surprised that this mattered to him so I was like RIGHT, he then said if she had given him the time of day she could have been pregnant to him and he would have picked her up. Up until now I'd thought there was something strange going on with this guy it's crossed my mind that he's a little desperate for something. He got serious on me quick and after what happened yesterday I'm starting to think this guy is just looking for someone to marry, a wife to keep his house clean and look after his kids. Should I be weary?
